More Than A Feeling

You know that feeling when you lay on warm concrete after you’ve gotten out of the pool and you’re buzzed from your drink in the sun with your eyes held in a perpetual squint and there’s sweat on your chest and Dorito dust on your fingers and you wipe it away but it won’t go away and a blue Frisbee skids under your chaise and you reach for it but can’t reach it and jets are soaring and the filter pump is humming and the sprinklers are sprinkling and yeah the best part of all is that you’re with someone where there’s no need for continuous conversation because you’re just content to have them nearby and you turn your head and they find your eyes and all you do is smile?

Here’s to summer!

With much love,

 Kelly

  2. Yeah, those really are special moments especially because they’re spontaneous and fresh…:)
Great video. I’ve watched that a couple of times.

  3. These are moments we cherish; moments which make up real life; moments where we understand love without having to speak of it. A beautiful sentiment captured in a warm scene.

  6. I don’t have that particular happy moment, but I have others that are special to me, such as lying back in long grass on a sunny day and watching the clouds floating by. We all need little happy moments, I think.

  7. Thanks, Amy! I hope it brought back some happy memories. Hitting the road soon for work, but all is well. Hope the same is true for you! xo

  8. As I watch the last of the almost 2 feet of snow running along the side of the road, and listen to the weather girl talk of temps in the 70s today, I can think of no better way to begin this day than to open my windows to let this lovely summer breeze of a feeling in. Beautiful! xo

  9. Crazy weather for sure! I had the windows open in my house a couple of days ago as well! Sounds like you are having a great morning. I hope the whole day stays that way for you. With your positive outlook, I have no doubt it will. Thanks for your lovely words, Rhonda. xo

  10. Same here, Jasmine! I get so sick of air conditioning sometimes, have to wear a sweater inside. Glad I could share some warm thoughts with you, I need them as well! :)

  11. Always fun in the summertime, especially with my grandkids close by to be so loving and accepting of my silliness and joyful hugs, Kelly. Digging my toes in Lake Erie hot sand which has dirt in it, then dipping into cool water. . . the photo comes up in a day or two. :)
